A great success

The organizing committee wants to thank the numerous participants from all over the world who travelled to Quebec to take part to the IDF Dairy Science and Technology Week from May 12 to May 16, 2008.

Your presence was the most important ingredient of the event’s success. We also assisted to excellent scientific presentations from our speakers and I think most of the participants greatly appreciated the Novalait Technological Forum and the IDF 2-day scientific program.

Most of the scientific presentations are now available on a secured page with limited access by a user name and a password, exclusively reserved to participants. The scientific poster session was also very successful with more than 50 high standard posters presented. This is the best demonstration of the dynamism of dairy research among the young generation. IDF Canada stressed the excellent work of the Canadian young researchers by awarding four prizes for the best poster presentations.

Finally, concerning Quebec City and its 400^th anniversary, a lot of participants had the opportunity to appreciate the old city and its festivities, as the temperature was at its best. We hope you will all keep a good souvenir of the 2008 IDF Science and Technology Week in Quebec.

We hope to see you next year at the IDF Science and Technology Week 2009 which will take place in Rennes, France from April 20 to 24, 2009.
